In the wake of the EU referendum result, it was heartening that this year’s European Healthcare Design conference took place with a growing spirit of collaboration and shared learning.

We particularly enjoyed the seminar on ‘SMART hospital architecture: the development of a data-driven simulation’; Chaired by Jim Chapman with an inspiring presentation from Johan van der Zwart from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Sonnemann Toon Architects' presentation on ‘The Choreography of Care’ was displayed at the event.
