Race for Life Clapham Common

Earlier this year Agnieszka, Cecilia, Gina and Jolien decided to challenge themselves by taking part in a 10k run. They signed up for the Clapham Common Race for Life and decided to raise funds for a worthwhile cause while they were at it. After two months of intensive training (and harassing friends and family for money) they were finally ready to hit the track – or pavement as it were. In fact, on the day they were so focused and concentrated on the race ahead that they couldn’t find the starting point and subsequently missed the start of the race. Luckily they quickly made up for the lost time and all four finished the race at around the one hour mark. The weather was perfect for running and Cathryn and David came to cheer up the team at the arrival line. As gratifying as completing the race was, even more satisfying was that together they raised over 400 pounds for Cancer Research UK.
