Sonnemann Toon Architects Visit Japanese House exhibition at Barbican Centre

Sonnemann Toon went to see The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945 and it really did not disappoint! The exhibition started on the mezzanine and offered a terrific bird’s eye view of the installation-scale models by some of Japan’s most iconic architects with centrepiece of a full scale reproduction of a Japanese house made of 10 modular units.

It was a magnificent step into the world of the Japanese architecture, culture & life and a great insight into the world of Japan's domestic culture, showcasing the best of smart, minimalist design in compact spaces.
