Phil studied at Oxford Brookes, specialising in sustainable design completing and contributing to several live projects during his studies. Following this he worked for an engineering lead multidisciplinary practice specialising in nuclear design. This provided the opportunity to work on various scale jobs from large BIM level 2 projects to smaller office refurbishment and security installations.

Phil passed Part 3 in 2015 and in 2016 he became a CIBSE ESOS lead assessor and member of RIBA and CIBSE. Phil joined Sonnemann Toon in late 2018 and has been supporting healthcare and commercial projects since.
